Chanel x The Violet Book - Francesca Hayward, Principal Dancer, The Royal Ballet
Francesca Hayward, after Misty Copeland, is still an anomaly in the ballet world. As a Black woman thriving in an industry like ballet, she believes what stands in the way of diversity is greater access to these worlds. Like other forms of dance, heralding Pina Bausch as an inspiration, Hayward explains ballet has the ability to resonate with larger, vibrant audiences. For Violet Book issue 14, a short film starring Francesca Hayward in Chanel by Laura Bailey and Raf Fellner.
